Tribute

On September 17th, early in the morning my wonderful Grandma Phyllis Williams passed away. She was 92 years old, and lived an awesome life. I will never forget her spunk, and sense of humor. My favorite memories are:
1. I was in 9th grade, and she stole my huge platform shoes from me. She would not take them off until I beat her in an arm wrestle. (she beat me the first 2 times).
2. Her thumbprint cookies...Off the Chain!
3. My mom left us (Grandma and I) home alone together. I was supposed to finish my homework, but I guess Grandma was bored because she persistently asked me if we could go ride scooters together. Of course we did, I wish I could post the pics... so funny!
4. Christmas last year I was able to come home, and she would sit and tell me stories all about her young life, and about her and Grandpa's love story. (I never knew my Grandpa, but he sounds like a real catch!) She also gave every grandchild a book she compiled of all our family history. It included pictures, life stories, recipes ect. It was the greatest gift she could have left us! We love you Grandma!

Katie! I'm so glad you have a blog! It will be so nice to keep in touch! I haven't seen you in sooo long! Do you come back to Utah often? If you do, we should go to lunch or something.
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma, she sounds like a great woman. How lucky that she wrote a personal history, that is the best kind of gift.
